Resumo
O artigo aborda o tema da fé do centurião romano, um não judeu que contribuiu na construção da sinagoga dos judeus e que também acreditou no poder de Jesus. O objetivo é analisar a possibilidade de, numa sociedade plural, um gentio ter fé em Jesus Cristo. O trabalho, com metodologia bibliográfica (bíblica e extra bíblica), analisa a fé do capitão romano relativo à cura do seu servo enfermo como efeito simplesmente de uma palavra de Jesus, o que chamou a atenção de Jesus pelo fato de ser ele um gentio a demonstrar fé radical nele, numa cidade em que ele era pouco acreditado e tinha sua identidade questionada.

NEVER SEEN FAITH LIKE THIS: MODEL OF FAITH BASED ON LUKE 7.1-10
Abstract
The article addresses the theme of the faith of the Roman centurion, a non-jew who contributed to the construction of the synagogue of the Jews and who also believed in the power of Jesus. The objective is to analyze how is possible that, in a plural society, a gentile having faith in Jesus Christ. The work, with bibliographical methodology (biblical and extra biblical), analyzes the faith of the centurion regarding the healing of his sick servant as simply effect of a word of Jesus, which caught the attention of the mater for such a radical faith of a gentile man, in a city in which He was very little believed and had his identity questioned.
