CRIANDO UMA CULTURA DE REVITALIZAÇÃO: UMA PROPOSTA PARA A IGREJA BASEADA NOS ESTUDOS DE ANTHONY F. C. WALLACE

Resumo

Através de pesquisa bibliográfica, o presente artigo tem em primeiro lugar o objetivo verificar a necessidade real de que as igrejas e denominações se debrucem sobre o tema da revitalização de igrejas, e apresentar as características de uma igreja que carece de revitalização, com o objetivo de dissolver estereótipos e disponibilizar elementos para um diagnóstico correto. Propõe também conhecer o fenômeno sociológico e antropológico através dos estudos de Anthony F. C. Wallace sobre os “movimentos de revitalização”, e principalmente, oferecer uma proposta de estratégia para a implantação de uma cultura de revitalização a ser aplicada não somente em comunidades consideradas decadentes, mas em todas as igrejas, e que possa ser adaptável a qualquer contexto histórico cultural.

Creating a culture of revitalization: a proposal for the church based on the studies of Anthony F. C. Wallace

ABSTRACT

Through a bibliographical research, this present article has in the first place the objective to verify the real need for churches and denominations to attend to the theme of church revitalization, and to present the characteristics of a church that needs to be revitalized, with the objective of dissolve stereotypes and provide elements for a correct diagnosis. It also proposes to know the sociological and anthropological phenomenon through the studies of Anthony FC Wallace on the “revitalization movements”, and especially, to offer a strategy proposal for the implantation of a culture of revitalization to be applied not only in communities considered decadent, but in all churches, and that can be adaptable to any historical cultural context.
