JESUS, O CAMINHO, A VERDADE E A VIDA: UM ESTUDO EXEGÉTICO DE JOÃO 14.1-7
Resumo
O presente artigo consiste de uma exegese do texto de João 14.1-7 baseada na metodologia histórico gramatical, conforme modelo proposto por Claiton A. Kunz. Inicia-se com uma breve apresentação do texto que inclui a crítica textual e tradução da passagem. Após a análise do contexto histórico, cultural e literário da passagem, é feita a análise do texto propriamente dito. Finalmente, é feita uma síntese com as conclusões encontradas a partir do estudo da passagem. Observa-se que a fé em Deus está relacionada com a fé em Jesus e que o uso da expressão “eu sou” reforça a ligação de Jesus com Deus e sua natureza divina. Jesus encorajou os discípulos, deixando claro que seus discípulos serão recebidos na casa do Pai e que a separação entre eles seria temporária. Trata-se de uma palavra de esperança. No ponto principal da passagem, Jesus apresenta-se como o caminho, a verdade e a vida. Portanto, o discípulo de Jesus não pode aceitar que há outro meio através do qual seja possível conhecer a Deus, senão através da revelação de Deus em Jesus. Destaca-se que Jesus fala com a autoridade da posição que ocupa, como Deus encarnado, Messias e Salvador que deu sua vida como sacrifício pelo pecado da humanidade.

JESUS, THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE: AN EXEGETICAL STUDY IN OF JOHN 14.1-7
Abstract: The article consists of an exegesis of the text of John 14.1-7 based on the historical-grammatical method, as proposed by Claiton A. Kunz. It starts with a brief presentation of the text, which includes the analysis of the manuscripts and translation of the passage. After the analysis of the historical, cultural, and literary contexts, an analysis of the text is done. Finally, a synthesis is presented with the conclusions found through the study of the passage. It was observed that faith in God is closely related to the faith in Jesus and that the use of the expression “I am” reinforces Jesus” connection with God and his divine nature. Jesus encouraged his disciples, making clear that they will be received in the house of the Father, and that their separation will be temporary. It is a word of hope. In the main point of the passage, Jesus presented himself as the way, the truth, and the life. Thus, the disciple of Jesus can not accept that there are other means to know God instead of God”s revelation through Jesus. It is highlighted that Jesus speaks with the authority of his positions as God incarnated, Messiah, and Saviour, who gave his life as a sacrifice of the sins of humankind.
