“A MINHA GRAÇA TE BASTA”: UMA ANÁLISE EXEGÉTICA DE 2 CORÍNTIOS 12.7-10

Resumo

Este artigo explora a compreensão bíblica do sofrimento, com base no texto de 2 Coríntios 12.7-10. Concentrando-se especificamente na experiência de sofrimento do apóstolo Paulo, que compartilha sua luta com o “espinho na carne” e a resposta divina: “A minha graça te basta”. Com isso, o artigo procura responder à pergunta: Como entender o sofrimento humano diante da graça divina? E com isso oferece um entendimento prático e teológico para o cristão contemporâneo. O trabalho utiliza a metodologia bíblico-exegética, com um desenvolvimento bibliográfico, tendo como base as Sagradas Escrituras, além de autores como Carson (2017), Hendriksen (2007), Hubbard (2021), Omanson (2010), além de outros que ajudam a dar clareza sobre o tema que foi explorado.

“My grace is sufficient for you”: an exegetical analysis of 2 Corinthians 12.7-10

Abstract: This article explores the biblical understanding of suffering, based on the passage of 2 Corinthians 12:7–10. It focuses specifically on the apostle Paul’s personal experience of suffering, in which he shares his struggle with the “thorn in the flesh” and the divine response: “My grace is sufficient for you”. In doing so, this study seeks to answer the question: How can human suffering be understood in light of divine grace? It thus offers both a practical and theological perspective for the contemporary Christian. The work employs a biblical-exegetical methodology, supported by bibliographical research, grounded in the Holy Scriptures and supplemented by the works of scholars such as Carson (2017), Hendriksen (2007), Hubbard (2021), Omanson (2010), among other authors who have contributed to a clearer understanding of the subject under examination.
