O EVANGELHO NA MACEDÔNICA: A INFLUÊNCIA DO MUNDO HELENÍSTICO PARA A PREPARAÇÃO DA PLENITUDE DO TEMPO ATRAVÉS DA PROFECIA DE DANIEL (CAP. 8-11)

Resumo

Esse estudo analisa os fatos históricos que aconteceram nos períodos, entre o Antigo e o Novo Testamento, que são profetizados, em maior parte, no livro de Daniel. Apesar desse livro das Escrituras ser considerado literatura apocalíptica, mostra o plano divino de Deus, segundo o qual os vários poderes e as autoridades humanas cumprem o seu propósito. O trabalho faz um breve estudo de surgimento do império greco-macedônio, profetizado no livro de Daniel, através do personagem mais destacado da época, Alexandre o grande, e a explosão da cultura grega no Oriente, de onde, com ordem divina, contribuiu para o preparo do cristianismo.

The Gospel in Macedonia: the influence of the helenistic world for the preparation of the fullness of time through Daniel's prophecy (chapter 8-11)

ABSTRACT

This study analyzes the historical facts that occurred in the period between the Old and New Testaments that are prophesied in the book of Daniel. Although this book of Scripture is considered to be apocalyptic literature, it shows God's plan according to which the various powers and human authorities fulfill His purpose. The paper makes a brief study of the emergence of the Greek-Macedonian empire, prophesied in the book of Daniel, through the most outstanding personage of that time, Alexander the Great. It alsoshows the explosion of Greek culture in the East that contributed to the preparation of Christianity.
