A ÉTICA DO PÚLPITO: UMA REFLEXÃO SOBRE O SIGNIFICADO DO PÚLPITO PARA A IGREJA EVANGÉLICA NA ATUALIDADE

Resumo

O presente artigo parte da compreensão do papel histórico do púlpito para a igreja cristã, e caminha pela investigação do significado do púlpito para as igrejas evangélicas na atualidade. Entendendo que o púlpito é envolto por um caráter ético cristão, surge a problemática: O púlpito e o que ele representa tem sido valorizado pelas igrejas evangélicas na atualidade? Seguindo com a hipótese de que o púlpito tem na atualidade sofrido uma desvalorização em seu real significado, o artigo defende a necessidade do resgate da ética do púlpito. A ética, que por séculos tem norteado e conferido ao púlpito o lugar central nos templos das igrejas evangélicas, precisa ser reafirmada.

The ethics of the pulpit: a reflection about the pulpit meaning for evangelical church in actuality

ABSTRACT

The present article starts with the comprehension of the historical role of the pulpit for the Christian church, and continues investigating the meaning of the pulpit for the evangelical churches in the present time. Based on the comprehension that the pulpit is involved with a Christian ethical character, we introduce a problem: Have the evangelicals churches in the present times valued the pulpit and what it represents? The articles follows with the hypothesis that the pulpit has suffering a devaluation of its true meaning in the present time, and proposes as a solution the rescue of the pulpit ethics. The ethics, which for centuries has been the sense of direction for the pulpit and granting for it the central place in the temples of the evangelical churches, needs a reaffirmation.
