CONSUMAÇÃO DO REINO: OS EVANGELHOS SINÓPTICOS E A VIDA APÓS A MORTE

Resumo

A temática “Consumação do Reino: o que os sinópticos dizem sobre a vida após a morte” é uma reflexão que surge de uma preocupação diante da ênfase dada a algumas tradiçõese rituais que perpetuam certas crenças sobre a vida após a morte entre os ovimbundos.2 A questão que se coloca é: o que os evangelhos sinópticos ensinam sobre a consumação do reino de Deus e como estes ensinamentos podem ajudar os crentes ovimbundos a vencerem o medo do reino das trevas. Um dos aspectos importantes da cosmovisão dos ovimbundos é a busca da harmonia entre o mundo físico e visível e o espiritual e invisível. O cristianismo evangélico parece não ter ensinado claramente a respeito da soberania, amor e justiça de Deus sobre todos os seres, deixando uma brecha para que os rituais mágicos sejam continuados e tidos como práticas normais. Este artigo pretende fazer um estudo sobre os ensinamentos de Jesus nos Evangelhos Sinóticos. Destacando a instauração e consumação do reino de Deus, abordará os aspectos positivos das crenças que os ovimbundos têm sobre Deus, a vida e a morte e confrontará algumas tradições que não vão de encontro com os princípios bíblicos de Jesus sobre o reino do Pai. Este artigo espera contribuir para um despertamento e fortalecimento da fé nas promessas de Jesus sobre o Reino de Deus e sua consumação.

Consummation of the Kingdom: The synoptic gospels and life after death

ABSTRACT

The essay is a reflection that arises out of a concern before the emphasis given to some traditions and rituals that perpetuate certain beliefs about the afterlife among the Ovimbundu. The question at hand is: what do the synoptic gospels teach about the consummation of the Kingdom of God and how can these teachings help the Ovimbundu believers defeat the fear of the kingdom of darkness? One of the important aspects of the worldview of the Ovimbundu is the search for harmony between the physical and visible and the spiritual and invisible. The evangelical Christianity seems to not have taught clearly concerning sovereignty, love, and justice of God above all beings, leaving a gap allowing magical rituals to happen as if they were normal practices. This article intends to do a study about the teachings of Jesus inside the synoptic gospels pointing out the establishment and consummation of the Kingdom of God; Positive aspects about the beliefs Ovimbundu have about God will be approached, as well as life and death in order to confront some traditions that do not go according to the biblical principles of Jesus about the Kingdom of Father. This article is intended to contribute to an awakening and fortification of the Faith of people in the promises of Jesus about the Kingdom of God and its consummation.
