O presente artigo aborda a idolatria evangélica atual a partir do livro do profeta Ezequiel. A pesquisa reflete sobre os atos de responsabilidade da igreja brasileira em tempos (pós) modernos, quando fica cada vez mais evidente o retorno à idolatria devido algumas práticas sincréticas. Algumas igrejas brasileiras mudaram com o decorrer do tempo, de forma que as bases da Reforma Protestante ficaram esquecidas, e agora, aquelas que deveriam pregar contra a idolatria; praticam e incentivam. Este artigo pretende demonstrar de que forma o culto no monte representa um retrocesso à idolatria medieval e como o protestantismo pode se esforçar para suprimir essa prática.

The protestant idolatry (post) modern and the use of the mount as a sacred place in Ezekiel 6.2-3

ABSTRACT

This article addresses current evangelical idolatry from the book of the prophet Ezekiel. The research reflects on the acts of responsibility of the Brazilian church in (post)modern times when it becomes increasingly evident the return to idolatry due to some syncretic practices. Some Brazilian churches have changed over time, so that the bases of the Protestant Reformation have been forgotten, and these, which should make an apology against the idolatry; practice and encourage it. This article intends to demonstrate how the worship on the mount represents a step backward to medieval idolatry and how Protestantism can strive to suppress this practice.
