RESUMO
Este artigo mostra os benefícios da formação teológica acadêmica, bem como, os contratempos que a falta deste conhecimento pode trazer aos pastores neopentecostais. É importante destacar que no mundo plural em que se vive, é necessário cada vez mais a capacitação dos pastores eclesiásticos. Também é notório que o número de ensinamentos com erros por parte de uma má interpretação do texto Sagrado é gigantesco, e estes acontecem por falta de uma exegese de qualidade acadêmica. Sendo assim, é interessante ao pastor neopentecostal buscar o conhecimento acadêmico que será de muita valia para ele e seus ouvintes. Assim, esse trabalho apresenta fontes bibliográficas de autores como Ricardo Mariano, Paul Freston, John Stott, entre outros, que expõem dados que contribuem para análise do assunto em voga tratado neste artigo.

The Relevance of Academic Theology and its Need to the Neopentecostal Shepherd
ABSTRACT
This article shows the benefits of academic theological training as well as the setbacks that lack of this knowledge can bring to Neo-Pentecostal pastors. It is important to emphasize that the plural world in which one lives, whose frontiers of knowledge increasingly require the training of ecclesiastical pastors, since they are opinion makers. It is also notorious that the number of teachings with errors by a misinterpretation of the Sacred text is gigantic, since such errors occur due to the lack of an exegesis of academic quality. Thus, it is interesting that the Neo-Pentecostal pastor seeks the academic knowledge that will be of great value to him and his listeners. Thus, this work presents bibliographic sources of authors such as Ricardo Mariano, Paul Freston, John Stott, among others, who present data that contribute to this analysis of the subject in vogue dealt with in this article.
