Paulo e o problema do antinomismo

Resumo

Este artigo analisa a questão da abolição ou permanência da lei na vida do cristão: o cristão está livre da lei em todos os seus aspectos ou ainda existem aspectos que o cristão precisa observar? Outra questão é: estaria o cristão livre de toda obrigação moral referente à lei? Para responder essas perguntas, faz-se uma análise com base na teologia de Paulo, especialmente no texto de Romanos 6.14, além de uma breve exposição da corrente teológica conhecida como antinomismo. Assim, com base no pensamento de autores como Thomas Schreiner e George Ladd, este artigo defende que o cristão não está livre dos padrões morais da lei, necessitando observá-la, livre de qualquer ideia legalista, em seu aspecto moral, sendo ela o formato moral que a salvação pela fé assume. Além disso, também chega à conclusão que o relacionamento do cristão com a lei deve ser observado a partir de seu relacionamento com Cristo.

Paul and the problem of antinomism

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the question of the abolition or not of the law in the Christian”s life: is the Christian free from the law in all the aspects, or are there any aspects that the Christian has to observe? Another question is: is the Christian free from all moral obligations concerning the law? To answer these questions, an analysis is made based on Paul”s theology, especially the text of Rom 6.14, and a brief exposition of the current theological line known as antinomism. Based in the thinking of authors such as Thomas Schreiner and George Ladd, this article argues that the Christian is not free from the moral standards concerning the law, and needs to observe it, free from every legalistic idea, in its moral aspect, being it the moral format that the salvation by faith takes. Besides that, the conclusion is that the Christian”s relationship with the law must be observed from his relationship with Christ.
