A MENSAGEM DE AMÓS: UMA DENÚNCIA A ESPIRITUALIDADE SUPERFICIAL DE ONTEM E DA CONTEMPORANEIDADE

Resumo

O artigo oferece uma análise da mensagem de Amós e a denúncia que este homem de Deus faz tanto ao povo de Israel do seu tempo quanto à sociedade contemporânea no que se refere à vivência de uma espiritualidade superficial. Para tal proposta, é utilizado o caminho teórico-metodológico da pesquisa bibliográfica, que recorre aos materiais já elaborados e sistematizados, como livros e artigos científicos. O texto do profeta de Tecoa é antigo, mas a mensagem é contemporânea. Atentar-se para o conteúdo das palavras proferidas aos israelitas do século VIII a.C. é conditio sine qua non para o cristão hodierno.

The Amos message: a denunciation to the superficial spirituality of yesterday and contemporaneity

Abstract: The article aims to offer an analysis of the message of Amos and the denunciation this man of God makes to the people of Israel of his time as well as to contemporary society regarding the experience of a superficial spirituality. For such proposal, the theoretical-methodological path of bibliographic research is used, which points to materials already elaborated and systematized, such as books and scientific articles. The text of the Tecoa prophet is old, but the message is contemporary. Paying attention to the content of the words spoken to the Israelites of the 8th century B.C. is conditio sine qua non for today's Christian.
