JOHN WESLEY: A VIDA E O LEGADO DO PAI DO METODISMO

Resumo

Este artigo abordou a trajetória de vida de um grande influenciador na História do Cristianismo e fundador do Metodismo. John Wesley não recebeu somente destaque por ser o fundador de uma igreja evangélica, mas também serve como exemplo e inspiração para as gerações atuais, pois desde cedo se dedicou a uma vida consagrada, demonstrando valor cultural e amor à pesquisa e ao conhecimento, diante da persistência, esforço e abnegação. Sendo assim, os pontos que seguem neste artigo destacaram as seguintes áreas da história deste homem influenciador: família, história, início do movimento Metodista e legado de John Wesley.

John Wesley: the life and legacy of the father of Methodism

Abstract: This article covered the life trajectory of a great influencer in the History of Christianity and founder of Methodism. John Wesley was not only highlighted for being the founder of an evangelical church, but he also serves as an example and inspiration for current generations, since early on he dedicated himself to a consecrated life, demonstrating cultural value and love for research and knowledge, in the face of persistence, effort and selflessness. Thus said, the topics on this article highlighted the following areas of the history of this influencing man: Family, history, beginning of the Methodist movement and the legacy of John Wesley.
