O presente artigo biográfico analisou a trajetória e relevância da vida de Jonathan Edwards. Mais que um teólogo, avivalista, pastor, missionário, erudito, escritor e filósofo, ele foi um homem que devotou cada aspecto de sua vida de forma intencional e disciplinada para a glória de Deus, estudando as Escrituras com afinco e orando fervorosamente. Isso, sem negligenciar seu ministério mais importante: sua família.

Jonathan Edwards: a premedited life for the glory of God

Abstract: The present biography study analyzes the trajectory and relevance of Jonathan Edwards” life. Much more than a theologian, revivalist, preacher, missionary, erudite, writer and philosopher, he was a man who devoted every aspect of his life in an intentional and disciplined way to the God”s glory, studying the Scriptures with perseverance and praying earnestly. And this, without neglecting his most important ministry: his family. The highlights of this article pivot on aspects as the life and formation of Jonathan Edwards, as well as his work, ministry and legacy.
