VALORES CULTURAIS E RELIGIOSOS NOS RITOS FÚNEBRES DO ANTIGO ISRAEL

Resumo

O cenário histórico do antigo Israel apresenta importantes fatos socioculturais. Através de inúmeras pesquisas científicas, tornou-se possível descobrir e identificar muitos desses fatos, os quais eram peculiares à cultura e à religiosidade do povo hebreu, na época do Antigo Testamento. Este artigo se qualifica numa pesquisa bibliográfica. Ele faz uso de abordagens temáticas, utilizando-se de textos escritos por importantes referenciais teóricos, bem como, de algumas narrativas bíblicas. Objetiva a identificar e analisar alguns dos mais importantes aspectos e valores culturais que se faziam presentes nos ritos fúnebres israelitas. Norteada sob o olhar de diversos autores, a presente pesquisa procura chegar ao seu objetivo através de quatro partes. Na primeira, explora-se os fragmentos conceituais sobre o termo cultura. Na segunda, enfoca-se a importância dos valores culturais para os antigos hebreus. Na terceira, o artigo evidencia e apresenta as crenças e os hábitos culturais nos ritos fúnebres israelitas. Finalmente, na quarta parte, à luz dos referenciais teóricos pesquisados, são identificadas as lamentações de luto e seus diversos significados. Por fim, a pesquisa conclui que no conteúdo das crenças religiosas e dos hábitos culturais israelitas afloravam notáveis e relevantes significações sociais, culturais e religiosas.

Cultural and religious values in the funeral rites of ancient israel

Abstract: The historical scenario of ancient Israel presents important sociocultural facts. Through countless scientific researches, it became possible to discover and identify many of these facts, which were peculiar to the culture and religiosity of the Hebrew people at the time of the Old Testament. This article qualifies for a literature search. It makes use of thematic approaches, using texts written by important theoretical references, as well as some biblical narratives. It aims to identify and analyze some of the most important aspects and cultural values that were present in Israeli funeral rites. Guided under the eyes of several authors, the present research seeks to reach its objective through four parts. In the first one, the conceptual fragments about the term culture are explored. The second focuses on the importance of cultural values for the ancient Hebrews. In the third, the article highlights and presents the beliefs and cultural habits in Israeli funeral rites. Finally, in the fourth part, in the light of the researched theoretical references, mourning lamentations and their various meanings are identified. Finally, the research concludes that notable and relevant social, cultural and religious meanings emerged in the content of religious beliefs and Israeli cultural habits.
