SALMO 78: PROPAGANDA E (IN)VALIDAÇÃO DO ISRAEL NORTE EM CHAVE MONÁRQUICA JUDAÍTA

Resumo

Este artigo teve como objetivo analisar o Salmo 78 e investigar, com o auxílio da arqueologia e da história que dela deriva, a possível intenção propagandística da visão Deuteronomista sobre a monarquia unida sob a perspectiva de Judá em relação ao Israel Norte. Neste sentido, o único lugar de culto, a eleição de Davi e a legitimação da sua descendência seriam as bases sociorreligiosas dessa construção teológica, pela qual se exige a lealdade e fidelidade do povo à monarquia davídica como representante legal da divindade. Assim, o Salmo 78 apresenta uma intenção propagandística clara de invalidar a existência de Israel do Norte em favor da monarquia judaíta.

Psalm 78: Propaganda and (in)validation of Northern Israel in Judah's monarchical key

Abstract: This article aims to analyze Psalm 78 and investigate, with the help of archeology and the history that derives from it, the possible propagandistic intention of the Deuteronomist vision of the united monarchy from the perspective of Judah in relation to Northern Israel. In this sense, the only place of worship, the election of David and the legitimization of his descent would be the socio-religious bases of this theological construction, which demands the loyalty and fidelity of the people to the Davidic monarchy as the legal representative of the divinity. Thus, Psalm 78 had a clear propagandistic intention to invalidate the existence of Northern Israel in favor of the Judah´s monarchy.
