O CONTRASTE ENTRE O FALSO E O AUTÊNTICO PROFETISMO EM ISRAEL

Resumo

O presente ensaio objetiva apontar o contraste entre o falso e o autêntico profetismo na história de Israel. Sempre que Deus se levantava para falar através dos seus servos, os profetas, falsos profetas também se erguiam para confundir e iludir o povo. Dessa dualidade, o interesse divino e o interesse humano, surge o embate entre os oráculos de Deus e os que profetizavam segundo o seu próprio coração. A partir da visão dos registros dos profetas genuínos, na inerrante Palavra de Deus, características dos dois lados podem ser encontradas. Enquanto o profeta genuíno era chamado por Deus, conhecia os detalhes da aliança do Sinai, tinha um compromisso com a mensagem que Deus lhe transmitia, mesmo que fosse de julgamento, o falso profeta se autointitulava "enviado de Deus" e estava alienado do contexto espiritual, social e político, falava coisas do seu próprio coração e iludia o povo com uma mensagem de falsa paz. Desse contraste surge a pergunta central deste artigo: como discernir o falso do verdadeiro profeta? A partir daí se faz uma análise da vida e obra dos profetas veterotestamentários para se encontrar respostas.

The contrast between the false and the authentic prophetism in Israel

Abstract: This article demands to point the contrast between the false and the authentic prophetism in the Israel history. Always when God raised up to speak through of His servants, the prophets, false prophets also stood up to confuse and deceive the people. From this duality, the divine interest and human interest, emerge the clash between the oracles of God and those who prophesized according to their heart. Starting from the record of the genuine prophets, in the ineradicable God`s word, the characteristics of both sides can be found. While the genuine prophet was God`s called, knew the Sinai`s alliance details, had a commitment with the transmitted God´s message, even though it was a judgment one, the false prophet called himself "sent by God" and was alienated of the spiritual, political and social context, spoke things of his own heart and deceived the people with a false peace message. From this contrast emerges the central question of this article: how to discern the false from the truth prophets? Starting in this point an analysis is made in the old testaments prophets lives and books searching for answers.
