A COMPREENSÃO DO SENTIDO DA VIDA NA PERSPECTIVA CRISTÃ: A IMAGO DEI COMO ELEMENTO NORTEADOR

Resumo

A pergunta pelo sentido da vida é algo intrínseco ao ser humano, as respostas são diversas e normalmente não conclusivas. Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a definição bíblica e cristã do sentido da vida humana, utilizando a doutrina da imagem e semelhança do homem com Deus - imago Dei - como um elemento norteador e uma resposta ao fim último da vida. A divisão em duas partes inicia conceituando e contextualizando sobre a doutrina da imago Dei, realizando uma transição à segunda parte, que traça a relação desta doutrina com o sentido da vida, através da visão bíblica. A partir das análises, entende-se que o ser humano é criado por Deus e à sua imagem, com a finalidade de glorificar seu criador e satisfazer-se na comunhão com ele. Quanto à metodologia, utilizou-se o método hipotético dedutivo, descritivo e histórico, tecendo um diálogo entre os pensadores da área de teologia sistemática, como, Erickson, Ferreira, Myatt, Grudem e McGrath.

The comprehension of the meaning of life from a christian perspective: the Imago Dei as a guiding element

Abstract: The question for the meaning of life is intrinsic to the human being and the answers are diverse and usually inconclusive. This article has the objective of presenting the biblical and Christian definition of the meaning of human life, using the doctrine of the image and likeness of man with God – imago Dei – as a guiding element and an answer to the ultimate purpose of life. The division in two parts begins conceptualizing and contextualizing the Imago Dei doctrine, transitioning to the second part, which traces the relation between this doctrine and the meaning of life, through a biblical vision. From these analyses, it is understood that the human being is created by God and in his image, with the aim of glorifying him and satisfying himself in communion with him. As for the methodology, the hypothetical, deductive, descriptive and historical method was used, weaving a dialog between thinkers in the area of systematic theology, such as Erickson, Ferreira, Myatt, Grudem e McGrath.
