HERMENÊUTICA APLICADA ÀS EPÍSTOLAS PAULINAS E AS IMPLICAÇÕES DO GÊNERO LITERÁRIO

Resumo

A proposta do artigo visa abordar as implicações do gênero literário, especificamente, as epístolas paulinas, na compreensão e na interpretação de textos bíblicos, refletindo sobre a fundamental importância de saber identificá-los corretamente. Reconhece-se o sentido de ser da hermenêutica, descrevendo sobre as implicações do gênero literário e o processo de interpretação, haja vista que cada gênero possui suas próprias características, princípios e regras específicas de interpretação, sobretudo, as aplicadas ao gênero epístolas paulinas. O problema que norteia a discussão parte da seguinte questão: como o processo de identificação do gênero literário ajuda no ato de compreensão de um texto epistolar presente nas cartas paulinas? A hipótese declara que se o estudo da hermenêutica é imprescindível para a correta compreensão e interpretação das Escrituras, então o verdadeiro significado do texto bíblico e sua aplicação serão adequadamente verificados pela e com o auxílio da ferramenta hermenêutica. Conclui-se que não se pode deixar de ressaltar a importância de alicerçar a compreensão e a interpretação das Escrituras em pressupostos coerentes com as verdades da fé cristã.

Hermeneutics applied to the epistles of Paul and the implications of literary genre

Abstract: The proposal of this article is to discuss the implications of the literary genres, specifically the epistles of Paul, for understanding and interpreting biblical texts, reflecting on the fundamental importance of knowing how to identify them correctly. The meaning of hermeneutics is recognized, describing the implications of literary genre and interpretation process, given that each genre has its own characteristics, principles and specific rules of interpretation, especially those applied to the epistles of Paul. The problem that guides the discussion is based on the following question: how does the identifying process of the literary genre help in the act of understanding an epistolary text present in the letters of Paul? The hypothesis states that if the study of hermeneutics is indispensable for the correct understanding and interpretation of Scripture, then the true meaning of the biblical text and its application will be properly verified by and with the aid of the hermeneutical tool. It is concluded that it is necessary to emphasize the importance of basing the understanding and interpretation of Scripture on presuppositions that are consistent with the truths of the Christian faith.
